 1. Had you practiced yoga before coming to Thavma Bikram Yoga?
No, never. I would always observe it from a distance and I always said to myself; “you can’t do that”

2. What made you decide to do the 30 day challenge?
Personal goal, I needed some motivation in my life. I wanted to make a change and leave bad habits behind.

3. What did you want to accomplish from your 30 day challenge? Did you achieve your goal?
I believe I achieved more tolerance in an uncomfortable situation. My anxiety always gets the best of me, I wanted to overcome that. My inspiration is Marina and my goal is to one day be able to do all the beautiful postures just like her. I believe the 30 day challenge helped me get acclimated to the postures as well as the heat. I’m still a work in progress but the challenged helped me relieve some of my back pain, anxiety, depression and weight gain.

4. What changes did you see during and after your 30 days of Bikram Yoga?
Changes were noticed in my house hold immediately. My fiancee saw me happier, patient and less agravated. I noticed more tolerance in my back pains and spasm, more determined to get out of bed and do something that would make a difference in my life. My mother noticed my weight loss and less complaining on how I’m always tired and in pain. Overall everything changed in the past 30 days and I’m happy.

5. What did you learn/gain from doing Bikram yoga regularly?
I learned to just let go of negative energy that always seems to follow me around. Ive learned to love my body and respect it. I have more patience and tolerance with my postures and a liking to the heat . I feel like a new woman every time I leave.

6. What did you love most from doing the challenge?
I love the motivation every one gave me every time I would come in through the door. I felt more determined to finish the challenge. Every person there are amazing souls, especially Marina. I also loved that I was doing something productive with my body for 30 days. Once I saw my body change, I was hooked on the challenge.

7. What’s your favorite posture?
All postures are extremly beautiful, but my personal favorite is Bird of Paradise , Camel(still a struggle), Bow pose and warrior(mayor struggle) 🙂

8. What do you think about our studio?
The studio is just perfect, I feel the yoga studio serves as a “ME” time so I can forget all the stress and problems that life throws at me. Every part of it is just perfection. Clean enviroment, lovely people and great energy.
