Had you practiced yoga before coming to Thavma Bikram Yoga?

If so, what other Styles of Yoga had you practiced?

I am a fitness instructor, so in the past I have probably taken one or two classes at the rec center I work at, but never Bikram.  (I don’t recall what style they were.)

What Made you decide to do Thavma’s 30 Day Challenge?

While on a break from running, I wanted something that had nothing to do with running.

What did you want to accomplish from your 30 Day Challenge??

I was hoping to see improvement in my flexibility and core strength. Also to continue to work thru some running injuries.

 Did you achieve your goal?

Yes, although my hip was sore from running, it’s less sore now. Always room for improvement.

What changes did you see during and after your 30 days of Thavma Bikram yoga?

I could see improvement in the postures as the month progressed. I gained increased core strength as well as improved flexibility.

What did you learn/gain from doing Bikram yoga regularly?

I learned I like the meditation aspect of Bikram yoga. As well as the fact that I didn’t know how to turn my mind off.  (still working on that!)

What did you love most from doing the Challenge?

The healing of the practice, mentally and physically. Every day any aches and pains I had were gone by the end of class.

What’s your favorite posture?

Standing bow pulling pose, I am still working on getting it right tho.

What do you think about our Studio?

Love the studio!  It’s clean, bright, open and inviting.

What do you love most about Thavma yoga as a Studio?

The fact that all of the instructors are so good, I can’t choose a favorite!  I’ve worked at many gyms and there is usually one instructor that is not as good, but here they all believe in the benefits of Bikram and are well trained as proven by the way they guide you thru your practice.
