The Thavma Volunteer work-study program is designed for dedicated yoga students who have been practicing at Thavma Yoga or want to. The commitment is for at least 3 months, therefore we look for reliable, customer service-oriented people who also have computer skills.
What do I get in exchange for my workstudy hours?
Workstudy participants receive one class for every hour worked. Typical shifts are 3-5 hours ,depending on the work you will do.
How long is the commitment?
Thavma Yoga requires a minimum commitment of 3 months once you have been accepted to a workstudy position.
Your duties as a workstudy will be many. These include, but are not limited to, cleaning the studio, lobby areas and dressing rooms, folding towels or clothes, assisting with the sign-in of classes, answering phones and assisting in various promotional projects.
What If I want to stop Work-study?
Thavma Yoga requires notification be sent to your supervising manager a minimum of 2-3 weeks in advance in order to allow time to find and train a replacement. You are required to assist in the training of your replacement.

To become a member of our workstudy program you must first set up a personal interview with the Workstudy Director.
Please prepare and bring the following to the interview:
– A resume
– A completed application form

After successfully completing the interview process, the Workstudy Director will see if there is a position immediately available for you. If not, you will be placed on a waiting list until a position opens up. Once offered a workstudy position, Thavma Yoga requires a minimum commitment of 3 months.
